Our client is a trusted market leader within the travel services sector. Reporting into the General Counsel. They are seeking a talented and commercially minded Legal Counsel to join their high performing team. You will be responsible for Responsible for primarily providing legal support to the Insurance division of Collinson and supporting wider business as required. Performing an overall safeguarding function to ensure that the business is protected from undue risk. Role Responsibilities
Draft and negotiate a wide range of insurance contracts - including Agency, Introducer, TPA and Claims Handling agreements with new and existing clients Draft and negotiate commercial contracts - including confidentiality, services and technology agreements. Draft, update and contribute to contract precedent templates and associated guidance materials including assisting with internal training programmes. Advising on litigation matters both pre-action protocol and litigation stage. Advising on a wide range of Insurance Regulatory matters.
Who You Are
A qualified solicitor with a minimum of 3+ years of experience in both private practice and in-house roles. Excellent knowledge and experience of insurance distribution, the UK insurance sector and the law surrounding both. Litigation experience preferred. Strong commercial and strategic mindset, with the ability to partner effectively with business leaders to enable growth and transformation. Excellent independent drafting skills with strong experience of commercial contracts and negotiation. Experience gained within the services or travel logistics industry or similar environment. Strategic thinking with a keen eye for future trends. A proactive, commercially focused mindset and ability to translate legal complexity into clear pragmatic guidance with a "get things done" attitude
