Job Description

A leading, household name insurer are looking to recruit an M&A or PE lawyer to join their transactional legal team. The role will join a growing, close-knit team where there is an opportunity to do work on very interesting deals whilst working in-house.


About the Role

  • Drafting, negotiating and executing on a range of deals that will vary in size
  • Building relationships with a variety of stakeholders across different departments as well as managing external counsel
  • Supporting on Corporate Governance matters as well as a range of other legal work


What do you need to be successful in this role?

  • Circa 3-6PQE working in the Corporate or PE department of a City law firm or already working in-house within a transactional role
  • A collaborative, proactive mindset who enjoys working as part of a team but is also willing to handle smaller deals autonomously (in time)
  • Ability to take complex legal terms and summarise them for the business
  • Previous knowledge of the regulatory considerations an insurance business needs to be aware of would be beneficial, but not essential
