The Role

As a Level 2 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to support pupils in the classroom and help ensure lessons run smoothly.

Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting pupils within whole-class lessons, small groups, and one-to-one
Assisting teachers with lesson preparation and classroom organisation
Supporting pupils who may need additional academic or behavioural support
Delivering small group interventions under teacher guidance
Encouraging pupil engagement, confidence, and participation in learning
Supporting the creation of a positive and inclusive classroom environment
Assisting with classroom routines and behaviour management

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should hold a recognised Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.

Examples of suitable qualifications include:

Level 2 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools
Level 2 Award in Support Work in Schools
NVQ Level 2 in Supporting Teaching and Learning
CACHE Level 2 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and LearningYou should also have:

Experience working with primary-aged children in a school setting
A positive and proactive approach to supporting learning
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Confidence working with pupils of varying abilities
A commitment to supporting children's academic and personal development
