Temporary Lifeguard Hourly Rate: Negotiable Location: Hook Job Type: Temporary We are seeking a dedicated Temporary Lifeguard to join our team at a SEN school in Hook. This role is crucial for ensuring the safety and well-being of our students during swimming activities. The ideal candidate will be vigilant, responsible, and committed to providing a safe swimming environment. Day-to-day of the role: Supervise swimming activities and ensure the safety of all students in the pool area. Prevent accidents by enforcing pool rules and regulations. Perform water rescues and administer first aid as needed. Conduct regular checks of the pool area to ensure it is clean and safe for use. Educate students on swimming safety and pool rules. Assist in setting up and storing equipment for swimming sessions. Required Skills & Qualifications: Current lifeguard certification from a recognised authority. First Aid and CPR certified. Previous experience as a lifeguard, preferably in a school setting. Strong swimming ability and knowledge of water rescue methods. Excellent observational skills to detect risk factors and identify distress in swimmers. Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
