Depot-Based Lifting Equipment Engineer
to join our busy workshop team at our
Warrington depot . This is a
depot-based role , working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with set hours of
06:30 to 16:30 . You will be responsible for the
inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of lifting equipment
to ensure it is safe, compliant, and ready for hire. Day-to-day responsibilities include: Carrying out
LOLER inspections, thorough examinations, and functional testing
of lifting equipment within the depot.
Performing
planned preventative maintenance
to ensure equipment reliability and availability.
Diagnosing faults and completing
mechanical and hydraulic repairs
on a wide range of lifting hire equipment.
Preparing equipment for hire, ensuring it meets all statutory, safety, and Speedy quality standards.
Accurately completing service records, test certificates, defect reports, and compliance documentation using Speedy systems.
Maintaining a safe, clean, and organised workshop environment in line with
health and safety regulations .
Working closely with depot colleagues, hire desk teams, and management to support daily operations and customer requirements.
Attending
customer sites when required
to undertake breakdowns, servicing, or inspections on equipment on long-term hire contracts.
Acting as a technical point of contact, supporting a positive customer experience and reinforcing Speedys commitment to safety and service.

What Youll Need
A
full UK driving licence .
Strong knowledge of
hydraulics and mechanical systems .
Experience working with lifting equipment and compliance testing (LOLER knowledge essential).
A clear commitment to maintaining
