The Opportunity
A well-established and growing legal practice in North Manchester is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to join its busy Housing Litigation team. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with at least 12 months' file handling experience to further develop their career within a supportive and fast-paced environment.
You will work closely with experienced solicitors on a varied caseload, gaining hands-on exposure to a wide range of housing litigation matters.
Key Responsibilities
Assisting with and managing your own caseload of housing litigation matters under supervision
Handling possession proceedings (including Section 8 and Section 21 claims)
Supporting on landlord and tenant disputes, including rent arrears and breach of tenancy
Drafting legal documents including witness statements, pleadings, and correspondence
Preparing court bundles and liaising with courts, clients, and third parties
Conducting legal research and assisting with case strategy
Maintaining accurate case records and ensuring compliance with internal procedures
Requirements:
Minimum 12 months' experience in a litigation role, ideally with some file handling exposure
Previous experience in housing litigation or landlord & tenant matters is highly desirable
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
A proactive and commercially aware approach
