This is a fantastic opportunity to join a long-term care package that values dignity, creativity, and consistency.Youll be supporting a warm and independent-minded lady living withMultiple Sclerosis (MS)who is returning home from a nursing home. She hascomplex careneeds including fatigue that affects communication, swallowing difficulties requiring modified meals,cathetercare (including washouts), andhoistedtransfers.She enjoys the little things that help her feel like herselfblow-drying her hair, wearing make-up, and getting out for meals. She also loves cooking andcreative engagement, and is looking for carers who respect her routines and individuality.To maintain privacy during intimate care, this role is open tofemale carers only, in line with a genuine occupational requirement under Schedule 9, Paragraph 1 of the Equality Act 2010.As her carer, you will be:Supporting hoisted transfers from bed to chair and other daily routinesPreparing modified meals and encouraging good hydrationHelping to implement a bowel management plan post-dischargeAssisting with communication using tools and visual aidsProviding gentle emotional support and help with personal groomingSupporting household tasks, light admin, and budgetingJob Details:Job Type:Live-inRota & Pay:Rota:Shifts are usually between 2-4 weeks live-in at a time, which may shift slightly while things are being established. Alternatively, if eligible, you can be a part of our Standby rota,working conveniently from home.Pay rate:£142.07 per dayTravel allowance:Competitive travel allowance for each placement.Food allowance:Competitive food allowance per day, if applicable.Live-In Care ResponsibilitiesAssist with personal care, mobility, meal prep, and daily living activities.Provide support with spinal injury care and encourage independence.Observe and record the clients health status, and ensure their safety and well-being.Arrange transportation for appointments, outings, and travel when required.Location: CT14 postcode area (Kent)Driver: Carer must be a confident driver with clean driver's licence the client enjoys getting out and values this independenceWhat Were Looking For:Female carer required due to the need to provide personal care (Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9, Part 1).We welcome applications from female carers who are kind, dependable and confident supporting someone in their own home. You dont need spinal injury experience just a willingness to learn, a common-sense approach and the ability to follow the clients lead.A calm, adaptable, and friendly female carer who enjoys building trust and rapport. Youll need to feel confident supporting complex physical needs with warmth and professionalism, and be happy to work closely alongside another carer as part of a live-in setup.Key qualities:Patience and emotional intelligenceConfidence using communication aids and following care guidanceA good sense of humour and a gentle, person-centred approachTraining & Support:Paragon is aspecialist providerof spinal cord injury and complex care.
