About the Role
Are you a compassionate and experienced Live-In Carer / Personal Assistant looking for a rewarding role? Join Paragon Home Healthcare and support a client living with a spinal cord injury (quadriplegia) who leads an active and creative lifestyle . This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, community engagement, and making a genuine difference every day.
Youll support a respectful, friendly client who enjoys: Exercise and staying active Music and creative projects
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include: Personal care and mobility assistance Driving to activities, appointments, and social outings Basic household tasks Supporting daily organisation and independence
Full training is provided , and youll be supported by an experienced clinical and care team throughout.
Location & Driving
Location: St Albans AL2 Driving: Essential regular outings are part of the role. A full UK driving licence is required, and insurance is provided for use of the clients adapted vehicle.
Pay, Rota & Rewards
Pay: £147.75 per day Bonus: Up to £400 joining & training bonus £150 paid with your first salary £250 paid after successful probation
Food allowance: £49 per week Travel allowance: Competitive travel allowance per placement
Rota: 2 weeks live-in, followed by 2 weeks off After a 1-week rest, you may choose to work with another client or join our Standby rota , working conveniently from home.
Main Responsibilities
Deliver person-centred personal care and mobility support Support daily routines, community activities, and engagement Assist with safe transfers and day-to-day living tasks Help with household organisation Maintain accurate care records and communicate any changes
What Were Looking For
Female carer required due to the need to provide personal care (Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9, Part 1).
We welcome applications from female carers who are: Positive, reliable, and respectful Energetic and comfortable with an active routine Confident driving and accompanying the client Happy supporting both personal care and daily tasks Flexible and adaptable to individual needs
No previous spinal care experience required full training provided from a specialist provider and trusted partner of the SIA Spinal Injuries Association
Training & Ongoing Support
Paragon is a specialist provider of spinal cord injury and complex care. Youll receive full training before you start , along with continuous clinical guidance and support.
