Role Description

We are seeking an experienced LME Broker with established client relationships and a strong origination focus to join our metals desk. The successful candidate will combine high‑quality execution skills with the commercial drive to grow client flow and revenue. Preference will be given to candidates with a portable book of business.

Day to Day Responsibilities

• Originate and grow client relationships, introducing new business and expanding existing accounts.

• Execute client orders across LME and CME markets with accuracy, speed, and adherence to best execution standards.

• Provide clients with timely market colour, trade ideas, and insights into metals market developments.

• Monitor market flow and spreads to identify short‑term trading opportunities.

• Collaborate with other areas of the business to drive cross‑asset opportunities in energy, ags, FX, and other futures and options markets.

• Maintain high compliance standards across all client interactions and daily tasks.

• Support daily desk operations and assist with ad hoc tasks as required.

Experience Required

• 3+ years of experience in base metals broking or sales.

• Strong understanding of LME and CME markets, including spread trading, options, averaging, TPA, and ferrous business; precious metals experience is an advantage.

• Demonstrated ability to generate client flow or manage a revenue‑producing book

• Proficiency with LMEselect / TT, CME Clearport, and relevant trading and risk systems.

• Strong Excel and Bloomberg skills, along with proficiency in other relevant systems.

• Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities, with confidence engaging clients at all levels.

• High attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and a solid understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements.
