About the role As an Local Events and Community Specialist for John Lewis, you'll be delivering local events and community activities that enhance customer experience and uphold the branch's commitment to community wellbeing. Key Responsibilities
- You will be the go-to activator for your shop in local marketing, events and social impact activity.
- Create and deliver a local marketing events that identifies and unlocks the best opportunities for inspiring innovative customer engagement, driving footfall into your shop. You'll be liaising with multiple stakeholders to execute exceptional events.
- You will need to proactively collaborate with the central events and social impact teams to deliver a calendar of activities.
- Oversee the implementation of in-branch charity fundraising and social impact activities. This will include Community Matters and John Lewis Partnership Foundation.
- Ensuring all your activities comply with Health and Safety procedures and GDPR.
- Being a brand ambassador for John Lewis.
Essential skills/experience you'll need
- Experience in managing events and/or community plans
- Managing various stakeholders
- Customer service experience
- Prioritising, organising and planning multiple activities/projects at the same time.
Desirable skills/experience you may have
- Delivery of events within a retail environment
- Experience of delivering relevant marketing activity
- Understanding of social impact, local community needs and charities and/or community groups.
