Job Description

An experienced Band 6 Paediatric Occupational Therapist is required to support a specialist children's therapy service delivering assessments and interventions to children and young people with a range of developmental and functional needs.

The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary team providing person-centred therapy programmes to support participation in daily activities across home, school and community environments.

The role involves carrying a clinical caseload, completing assessments, producing reports and contributing to therapy planning in collaboration with families, schools and other professionals.

Key Responsibilities

Undertake paediatric occupational therapy assessments and interventions

Deliver therapy programmes to children with developmental, sensory and functional difficulties

Provide detailed written reports and recommendations

Work collaboratively with families, schools and professionals

Contribute to EHCP processes where required

Provide advice on equipment and environmental adaptations

Maintain accurate clinical records in line with professional standards

Support goal-setting and outcome focused intervention planning

Essential Requirements

BSc Occupational Therapy (or equivalent)

HCPC Registered Occupational Therapist

Member of Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT)

Minimum 2-4 years paediatric OT experience

Experience working with children in community, clinic or educational settings

Strong assessment and report writing skills

Ability to work autonomously and manage caseload

Desirable

Sensory integration experience

EHCP experience

School based therapy experience

Access to own vehicle
