Full time Locum Consultant Radiologist with expertise in Breast Imaging for Breast Services and Diagnostic Imaging within Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust.

The successful applicant will collaborate with eight colleagues within Breast Imaging, to maintain a comprehensive, high quality screening and symptomatic breast service. He or she will be part of a wider team of radiologists providing sub‑specialty and general radiology services across the Trust.

The post will support a range of diagnostic services, including CT, MRI, plain film reporting and ultrasound examinations. A specialist interest may also be accommodated.

Candidates must hold the Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists and must either be on the Specialist Register or be in possession of a CCT at the time of appointment.

The appointee will be expected to fulfil the following NHS duties within the agreed Job Plans:

• Manage radiology emergency and elective patients admitted under my care.
• Provide a comprehensive elective and emergency radiology service with consultant colleagues.
• Provide reciprocal cover for periods of leave.
• Continue responsibility for patients in charge and ensure proper functioning of the department.
• Join the existing team of eight Breast Radiologists and support the growth in demand for Breast services at NUH.
• Contribute to the provision of diagnostic services at Queen’s Medical Centre, City Campus, Nottingham Treatment Centre, and possibly the region via EMRAD.
