Overview NHS Lanarkshire is recruiting a Locum Consultant Community Paediatrician for an 18‑month temporary post. The role aims to strengthen community paediatric services, improve waiting lists and support a service‑improvement project. Responsibilities

Work closely with the paediatric team, Service Manager and Clinical Lead to assess, prioritise and manage patients on the waiting list. Improve return appointments for existing community paediatric patients and increase clinical capacity. Contribute to clinical governance, documentation and report progress monitoring. Collaborate on sustainability of improvements within the Community Paediatric Service. Participate in quality‑improvement, patient‑safety (including human‑factors training), medical education, research & development activities as appropriate. Serve as an appraiser and provide educational support for medical students in partnership with the University of Glasgow.

Qualifications

Full GMC registration and licence to practise. Membership of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCPH). Experience in community paediatrics is preferred but not mandatory. Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, patient safety, education or research.
