Role Overview
We are seeking a values-driven Locum Consultant Radiologist with special interest in GI and MSK to work within a cohesive team at Wirral University Teaching Hospital. Candidates should be able to handle risk and ambiguity comfortably and will be expected to bring intellect and insight to leading on complex services.
This role will require an exceptional communicator who will be politically astute and quickly able to develop strong relationships internally and with a wide range of external stakeholders. Responsibilities
- Participate in the diagnostic on-call rota and provide weekend working sessions as part of DCC.
- Accept a 1 PA weekly allowance for diagnostic on-call duties and weekend working time.
- Serve as 2nd on call diagnostic consultant; 1st on call combines regional registrar hub and outsourcing company.
- Share interventional on call responsibilities with The Countess of Chester Hospital and act as 1st on call.
- Take an active role in service development and redesign and collaborate with other local service providers.
Working Hours & Conditions
- Job plans of 10 Programmed Activities: 8.5 Direct Clinical Care and 1.5 Supporting Professional Activity (1.5 Core SPA).
- Additional 2 hours per week SPA accommodated in monthly audit sessions and teaching during DCC commitments.
- Flexible and partial remote working patterns are readily considered.
