About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Mental Health Officer (MHO) to join a team on a temporary basis. This role offers the opportunity to support mental health assessments and interventions across multiple locations, ensuring compliance with legal and professional standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Undertake duties as an accredited Mental Health Officer (MHO).

Promote and maintain high standards of professional practice within the team.

Manage a caseload of complex mental health cases, prioritising and organising work effectively.

Fulfil all statutory responsibilities, including assessments, reports, and submissions to Appeals, Tribunals, Courts, and the Mental Welfare Commission, in line with legislation and Codes of Practice.

Stay up to date with changes in relevant legislation, policy, and best practice.

Seek appropriate budgetary authority for assessments and care management, reviewing care arrangements as needed.

Promote innovative approaches and represent social work positively within integrated teams and professional networks.
