Our client is an international global distributor of Ingredients and Food Stuffs and is seeking an experienced Logistics Associate for their office in London. This is a hybrid role. The Logistics Associate will join a dynamic and fast paced Supply Chain/Logistics team. Will be responsible for managing the business operation ranging from Imports, Warehouses, Cross Trades and Exports outside Europe. The Key Responsibilities will be:
· Processing import, export and cross trade operations from start to finish including processing shipping documents, sending customs clearance instructions and delivery of goods and documents to the warehouse/client.
· Maintain accurate records of all import transactions via the e filing system.
· Liaise with the forwarders and warehouses to ensure timely delivery of goods.
· Ensure compliance with all relevant import regulations and procedures.
· Handling Non-Conformances
· Occasional on-site inspection of warehouses;
· Processing invoices from warehouses, forwarders and other suppliers;
· Any other items that might arise on ad hoc basis
The successful candidate must have at least 3 years experience in a similar role, preferably in a trading company in the food industry. Fluency in English is essential, knowledge of another European language, especially Spanish, is a plus. A knowledge of Incoterms and to have intermediate Excel and PowerPoint. Competencie...
