I am pleased to be partnering with an established and respected manufacturing company in their recruitment for a Logistics Coordinator. This is a key role within their distribution function, working closely with teams across the business to provide high-value support in processing orders, preparing export documentation, and ensuring the efficient distribution of products worldwide. Key duties and responsibilities include: Supporting transport and distribution processes to ensure efficient delivery
Planning and arranging cost-effective shipments, taking into account customer projects and timescales
Preparing and ensuring the availability of correct documentation in line with all relevant regulations
Advising the Sales department on transportation options and obtaining quotes
Working closely with the Packing Department to ensure optimal packing methods are used
Liaising with customers and internal departments regarding the despatch of orders
Updating business systems to reflect actions taken and current order status
The ideal candidate will have experience in a Logistics Coordinator, Distribution Coordinator, Distribution Controller, Shipping Coordinator or similar role, with a solid understanding of transportation processes. Working closely with other teams, you will be an effective communicator with strong problem-solving abilities and good administrative skills.
