Logistics ManagerLocation: East London (Bow) with regular travel into Central LondonSalary: £40,000 per annumHours: 6:30am 3:30pmJob Type: Full-Time, PermanentAn established and reputable construction and building services contractor is seeking a Logistics Manager to oversee its operational yard and logistics function based in East London.This is a key operational role responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the yard, stores, vehicles and plant, supporting multiple live projects across London. You will play a vital part in coordinating logistics, managing stock and ensuring tools and materials are available when and where they are needed. The RoleAs a Logistics Manager, you will take full ownership of day-to-day yard operations, ensuring efficiency, organisation and compliance at all times. You will work closely with project teams, drivers and suppliers to support ongoing works across a busy and fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesManage the day-to-day operations of the yard, stores and logistics functionCoordinate and schedule deliveries and collections across LondonSupervise drivers to ensure efficient and timely serviceMaintain accurate records of plant, tools and materials in and out of the yardOversee the maintenance, servicing and allocation of vehicles and small plantEnsure the yard is kept clean, organised and compliant with safety standardsManage waste processes and maintain accurate waste transfer documentationLiaise with site teams to ensure materials and equipment are available as requiredMaintain and update plant and asset registers using internal systems (Excel / Office tools)Implement and maintain safe systems of work in line with health & safety policiesIdentify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and logistics processesRequirementsProven experience in a yard, stores or logistics management role, ideally within construction or building servicesGood knowledge of construction materials, tools and plant equipmentExperience using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for tracking and reportingValid UK Driving Licence (mandatory)Understanding of health & safety practices within a yard or operational environmentMechanical or vehicle maintenance background (highly desirable)Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and priorities in a busy environmentWillingness to undergo DBS clearanceWhats on Offer£40,000 basic salaryOpportunity to take ownership of a key operational function25 days holiday + bank holidaysPension schemeLife assuranceCycle to work schemeEmployee assistance and wellbeing supportOngoing training and development opportunitiesBonusThis is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Logistics Manager looking to take ownership of a critical logistics function within a busy and well-respected construction environment.JBRP1_UKTJ
