P+S are currently looking to secure high-calibre professional contractors capable of delivering works on live electrical networks, ensuring compliance with DNO standards, and supporting the growth of a scalable Power & EV division.\n\nProjects will be across the UK where candidates must be willing to travel, flexibility for night shift work and outage may be required.\n\nDisciplines:\n\nLV/HV cable jointing and connections\n\nNetwork de-looping works\n\nEV charger installation and commissioning\n\nTurnkey electrical infrastructure delivery\n\nJob Roles:\n\nPrimary Roles-\n\nLV Cable Jointers\n\nHV Cable Jointers\n\nElectrical / EV Installation Engineers\n\nSenior / Strategic Roles-\n\nSenior Authorised Person (SAP)\n\nAuthorised Person (AP)\n\nSupervisors / Team Leaders\n\nCore Responsibilities:\n\nCarry out LV & HV cable jointing (straight joints, terminations, link boxes)\n\nUndertake network connections, disconnections, and service terminations\n\nPerform de-looping works on existing networks\n\nInstall and commission EV charging infrastructure\n\nInterpret electrical drawings, schematics, and DNO designs\n\nConduct testing, inspection, and fault finding\n\nEnsure full compliance with:\n\nBS 7671 (18th Edition)\n\nDNO / IDNO standards\n\nHealth & Safety legislation (HSE / CDM)\n\nComplete all QA documentation, test certificates, and handover packs\n\nWork collaboratively with civils and reinstatement teams\n\nKey Competencies:\n\nStrong understanding of electrical distribution networks\n\nAbility to work safely on live systems\n\nKnowledge of DNO standards and compliance requirements\n\nHigh standards of quality assurance and documentation\n\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team\n\nEssential Qualifications (Non-Negotiable):\n\nElectrical Competence-\n\nLevel 3 NVQ / City & Guilds in Electrical Installation\n\n18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)\n\nInspection & Testing (City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent)\n\nStreet Works & Site Competence-\n\nNRSWA (New Roads and Street Works Act)\n\nCable Joining-\n\nRecognised LV cable jointing certification\n\nProven experience in HV jointing (where applicable)\n\nExperience working with PILC / XLPE / waveform cables\n\nQualifications & Accreditations (Desirable):\n\nECS or CSCS Card\n\nNICEIC or NAPIT affiliation (for EV works)\n\nCity & Guilds 2919 (EV Charging Installations)\n\nDNO / IDNO authorisations\n\nLV Authorised Person / HV Authorised Person\n\nSenior Authorised Person (SAP)\n\nExperience Requirements:\n\nMinimum-\n\n3–5 years LV cable jointing experience\n\nExperience working on live electrical networks\n\nPreferred-\n\nHV jointing experience\n\nExperience working on DNO / ICP projects\n\nEV installation and commissioning experience
