EDM Machine Operator

gap technical are proud to be representing this global manufacturing business in their search for a Machine Operative to work at their facility based near Burnley

\n

Performance Objectives

\n

\n Participate in a positive and proactive EHS culture across the site \n

Perform EDM operations using a variety of different machines - including wiring, sinking and deep hole drilling. \n

Working in conjunction with Manufacturing Engineers and CNC programmer, operate the EDM to meet the daily production targets. \n

Provide methods and technical support to other members of the team wherever necessary. \n

Assist with the development of tooling solutions as necessary. \n

Ensure that full documentation is kept up to date detailing the EDM path, featuring and tooling information. \n

Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations. \n

Document actions by completing production and quality logs. \n

Contribute new ideas and positive support to the current processes to improve productivity. \n

Assist in solving manufacturing and quality issues utilising root cause and analysis tools \n

Person Specification

\n

\n Ability to effectively work in a team environment and on own \n

Excellent knowledge of engineering drawings and interpretation \n

Previous experience of manufacturing within EDM equipment and controls would be ideal \n

Previous experience of working with CNC based machine equipment is desired \n

Ability to effectively communicate to all levels within the organisation \n
