Come and join us as a Maintenance Administrator at our Todhills site inBishop Auckland!Wienerberger Ltd manufactures and provides wall, roof and landscaping products for the construction sector. We offer innovative and sustainable solutions across the whole building envelope for new build, renovation projects and across the building industry.About the RoleYou will be responsible for optimising materials and parts stocks, avoiding shortages occurring and minimising stock valuations. Utilising a pro-active approach, you will drive down the cost of purchased commodities and deliver stores systems and controls to maximise the factory capability to meet budget production targets; volume / yield / waste. You will also:Manage stock inventory; order and receive parts/goods for the engineering department, stores and kiln; optimising material stock to avoid shortage occurringMaintain an organised stores area, with all parts and locations clearly identified so parts can be accessed speedily and safely; reporting any unavailable equipment/material that may compromise plant performanceAnalyse data and produce standard and ad hoc reportsControl & monitor monthly spends to budget to include weekly spend update reportProcess all goods receivedResponsible for all invoice queries and monthly reportsSupport preventative maintenance initiativesReduce the cost of purchased commodities by looking for best price/value from approved suppliersMaintain & update processes and systems as required and ensure stores users comply to themComply and maintain housekeeping to 5S standardsMaintain purchased products quality and standardsCarry out COSSH assessments for relevant items held in storesRemove obsolete items / replenish to ensure there are sufficient critical spares for key tasksLink stores locations and parts to AgilityEnsure all users follow the appropriate procedures for taking items from stores / replenishingSupport the implementation of any new stores systemsEnsure controls remain in place / sufficient parts are available throughout any periods of absenceAssist the maintenance personnel as requiredProvide absence cover for the Maintenance PlannerThissiteproduces bricks, supporting our manufacturing of high-quality building materials across the UK.This position is based at ourTodhillssite, which is near to Bishops Auckland, Crook, Willington, and Spennymoor, easily commutable from Durham, Middlesborough, and Darlington.Hours of Work:8.00am to 5.00pm, Monday to FridayAbout YouEssentialCurrent / valid RTITB, ITSSAR, NPORS or CPCS forklift truck license with recent driving experience within the last six monthsCompetent in MS Office and comfortable in the use of computer-based systemsNumerate and adept at interpreting dataMechanical and electrical maintenance experience, with knowledge of the items in the stores and their functionalityDesirableIOSH/NEBOSHAwareness of COSSH, LOLER, PUWER and other regulationsKnowledge of Lean Manufacturing systems and processesworking knowledge of SAP system, and experience working with Agility CMMS or similarPrevious experience working in a benchmark maintenance stores environment or similar relevant experience2 years plus experience of working in a high production environmentGood exposure to health & safety standardsIT skills good knowledge of MS Word, Excel & OutlookStrong organisational & planning abilitiesSelf-motivated, high standards, a passion for improvement and a target/delivery focused approachAbout our BenefitsSalary circa £30,000 (depending on experience)Annual bonus up to 4%25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
