Maintenance Electrician Loughborough, Leicestershire Days £44,000 The OpportunityCV Technical is recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing operation in Leicestershire for an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join their days-based maintenance team. This is a permanent, days-only position offering a strong salary and a stable, supportive working environment.The business places a strong emphasis on equipment reliability, electrical safety and continuous improvement. Whilst a background in heavy manufacturing is an advantage, it is not a requirement - candidates with solid electrical competence and the right attitude are equally encouraged to apply.The Role Plan and carry out preventive maintenance on electrical and control systems to maximise equipment reliability and uptimeDiagnose and resolve electrical faults efficiently, minimising production downtimeService and maintain motors, drives, PLCs, control panels, sensors and associated electrical equipmentSupport condition monitoring activities including thermography, insulation resistance testing and vibration analysisAssist with electrical installation, testing and inspection in line with current IET Wiring Regulations (BS7671)Contribute to continuous improvement projects targeting system reliability, downtime reduction and production efficiencyMaintain accurate maintenance records and documentation within the site CMMSWork closely with production, engineering and shift maintenance colleagues to deliver improvementsProvide cover for the shift team during holidays and absence periodsWork safely in line with all site procedures including LOTOTO, PPE and H&S standardsWhat We're Looking ForTime-served apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering - essentialNVQ Level 3 minimum, plus 18th Edition (IET Wiring Regulations) - essentialStrong electrical fault-finding and problem-solving skills across industrial systemsHands-on experience with motors, drives, PLCs, control panels and industrial electrical equipmentSound understanding of PPM/TPM systems and CMMS platformsGood awareness of electrical and site safety procedures including LOTO, PPE and H&SStrong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a teamExperience of predictive maintenance techniques such as thermography, vibration analysis or insulation testing - desirableInvolvement in CI, reliability or equipment modification projects - preferableHeavy manufacturing background - desirable but not requiredHow to ApplyThis vacancy is being managed on a strictly confidential basis by CV Technical Ltd.
