Maintenance Electrician - Glasgow - Salary up to £39,000 DOE An established facilities services company is seeking a skilled Electrician to join their team in a permanent, full-time mobile position. The role involves working across multiple locations throughout Glasgow and the wider Central Belt. This position focuses on delivering both planned servicing and responsive repair work to ensure all electrical systems and associated equipment remain fully operational. Key Responsibilities:Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance tasks in line with agreed service standardsRespond to faults, breakdowns, and urgent repair requests across multiple client sitesComplete all required documentation accurately and submit promptly to the relevant support teamsIdentify recurring issues or inefficiencies and suggest practical improvementsRecord equipment faults and prepare reports or quotations for remedial worksEnsure any defects are addressed quickly to minimise downtime and maintain safe operationCheck availability of tools, materials, and spare parts required for maintenance and repairsComplete site-specific risk assessments before commencing work to ensure safe conditionsFollow approved method statements and adhere to all health and safety proceduresAttend emergency call-outs outside of standard working hours when requiredParticipate in a structured on-call rota covering the regionPerson Specification:Proven experience maintaining and repairing electrical systems in a commercial or facilities environmentStrong diagnostic and fault-finding abilityBasic understanding of general building maintenance tasksRecognised electrical qualificationCurrent 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certificationTesting and inspection qualification (e.g. 2391) is beneficial but not essentialFull UK driving licence requiredAdditional Experience is advantageous:Low voltage distribution systems and switchgearFire detection and alarm systemsAir conditioning and ventilation systemsHeating systems including boilers and pumpsSalary & BenefitsCompetitive salary up to £39,000 depending on experience25 days holiday plus bank holidaysOption to purchase additional annual leavePaid days for volunteering or community initiativesOngoing training and development, including professional qualifications and tailored learning supportJBRP1_UKTJ
