Job Description
Multi Skilled Engineer\nMonday to Friday, Days\n7am-3pm (early finish on Friday)\n\nAre you a Maintenance Engineer with Elec bias, seeking a days Monday to Friday role, with a low-stress environment with minimal pressure and a steady pace... this could be the role for you. Especially if you're also looking to get off 12 hour continentals and work Days, Monday to Friday with an early finish.\n\nScantec Recruitment are working with a fantastic FMCG Manufacturing business in Manchester to assist in their search for a Multi Skilled Engineer.
Your role as Multi Skilled Engineer, will be to maximise production efficiencies by the effective inspection of production equipment and rapid resolution of problems to prevent unplanned production stoppages. You can also get involved with supporting the Engineering manager with some exciting projects as they come up. \n\nHours of work:\nMonday to Friday, 7am-3pm\n39 hours per week\nEarly finish on a Friday (6 hours)\n\nHoliday cover for shift engineers would be required when needed (further details available)\n\nBenefits:\n25 days annual leave + Bank Hols (you won't work any Bank Holidays)\nUp to 8% matched pension\nFull Christmas shut down\nPlus other great benefits!\n\nMulti Skilled Engineer - Summary of responsibilities:\n\nProactively support all initiatives to improve safety and quality throughout the Company.\nAdherence to Company, Local and UK safety regulations.\nEffectively communicate with management, production and maintenance teams, and other shifts to ensure safe, efficient, well organised operations. \nTo assist in the development of thorough predictive and planned maintenance systems for all production equipment and the implementation of those systems.\nMaintain the provision of safe, reliable and cost effective utilities.\nDeliver improved factory efficiencies and operation, in cooperation with Production Teams, through the effective repair, maintenance and improvement of production plant, equipment and facilities.\nEnsure accurate records of machine asset maintenance and improvements on by effective communication with your line manager\nMaintain a high level of knowledge of plant and process through study of manuals and external training where required.\nTrain and motivate production teams to improve plant, equipment and understanding.\nMaintain and develop Maintenance Resources including ; Stores, Workshop, Frontline, Manuals and documentation. Communicating your requirements to the maintenance administrator.\nRegularly walk the lines during a shift, correcting any defects found or scheduling the repair at another time.\nRequired Skills, qualifications & experience:\n\nWe're seeking Electrical Bias Engineer, ideally with 3 years minimum experience.
NVQ Level 3, or recognised engineering apprenticeship in plant maintenance. HNC/ONC in engineering or can demonstrate equivalent knowledge.\n\nGet in touch to discuss further
