Job Description

Main responsibilities:

• To carry out planned and reactive maintenance. • Providing rapid response to breakdown’s when required • Fault finding, trouble shooting and maintaining, repairing conveyor systems, equipment and plant using all engineering disciplines to ensure minimum lost production time • To follow up any faults picked up on PPM’s. • Ensure engineering standards are maintained to maximize the operation effectiveness and reliability of the factory and associated systems. • To assist specialist subcontractor’s requirements both for PPM and reactive works. • To ensure company QA and site procedures are adhered to in all aspects. • Ensure Company & Site, Health & Safety procedures are always followed. • Keep and maintain all company issued tools in a safe and serviceable manner. • To proactively work towards the continued success and support of the business with a can-do attitude. • Complete any other associated task requested by the management. • Ensure that workstations are kept tidy and well maintained

Skills & knowledge:

• Minimum Level 3 qualification in mechanical engineering and relevant experience • PLC Qualification • An ability to work well under pressure • Good verbal and written communication skills. • Excellent technical skills and knowledge. • Problem solving skills. • Team working skills. • To think on your own initiative. • Self-motivated. • Continuous improvement attitude
