Job Description
Multi-Skilled Engineer
Are you an experienced maintenance engineer with a strong mechanical bias and electrical knowledge?
Our client is looking for a proactive Multi-Skilled Engineer to support site operations by delivering high-quality maintenance across plant, machinery and facilities.
This is a key role focused on keeping equipment running efficiently, minimising downtime and driving continuous improvement across the site. You will be responsible for both planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring equipment performance supports operational output while maintaining the highest safety standards.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Delivering scheduled preventative maintenance in line with site requirements Fault finding, diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical breakdowns efficiently Supporting equipment upgrades, installations and commissioning projects Identifying opportunities to improve plant reliability, processes and performance Calibrating and maintaining instrumentation such as flow systems, level controls and weighing equipment Providing technical guidance to colleagues and contractors when required Maintaining high standards of housekeeping within workshop and plant areas Monitoring equipment trends and contributing to efficiency, quality and waste reduction initiatives Responding promptly to breakdowns to minimise production disruption
Who They’re Looking for:
A mechanically biased engineer with solid electrical knowledge (electrical bias also considered) Instrumentation calibration experience (essential for electrical-biased candidates) 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations certification (essential for electrical-biased candidates) IPAF and FLT certification Proven experience working in fast-paced manufacturing environments Ability to work at height safely and competently Strong mechanical skills with electrical knowledge Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure with minimal supervision Clear communicator with a positive, solutions-focused mindset
Working Hours
Shift pattern of 38 hours per week. Monday to Friday rotating shifts: Early: 05:50 - 13:50 / Late: 13:50 - 21:50
