Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a reputable organisation in Birmingham. This permanent role requires expertise in maintaining and improving industrial and manufacturing equipment within the Engineering & Manufacturing department.\n\nClient Details\n\nThis opportunity is with a well-established, medium-sized company known for its excellence in the industrial and manufacturing sector. The organisation is committed to delivering quality services and products to its clients while fostering a professional and supportive work environment.\n\nDescription\n\nPerform routine and preventive maintenance on injection moulding machines.\nDiagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic issues.\nEnsure proper calibration and alignment of moulding equipment.\nReplace or repair worn-out components to minimize breakdowns.\nInstall new equipment as required\nCompletion of annual Planned Maintenance plan\nSupervise contractors to carry out occasional work from time to time\nMaintain accurate records of work carried out on all equipment\nCarry out TPM routines for every production section\nCarry out all refurbishment work as required\nUtilise downtime periods to effectively overhaul equipment\nBe able to fault find and repair on injection moulding machines & robots\nRe-locate and install equipment as required\nIdentify machinery / equipment not fit for purpose and propose cost effective solutions to ensure activity can still be carried out\nAssist in DC and other parts of the Business as detailed by Maintenance and Facilities Manager.\nEnsure all work that is undertaken is completed safely and with relevant authorisation.\nComply with the Health and Safety responsibilities as defined in the company health and safety policy and ensure that any specific responsibilities are adequately delegated in their absence.4 on 4 off (2 days, 7am-7pm, 2 nights 7pm- 7am)\n\nProfile\n\nAn experienced Maintenance Engineer that should have:\n\nA recognised qualification in engineering or a related field (Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronic)\nStrong technical knowledge of industrial and manufacturing machinery.\nProven experience in maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment.\nFamiliarity with health and safety standards in an industrial setting.\nAbility to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.\nExcellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Job Offer\n\nUp to £ 49,128/annum\nPermanent position within a medium-sized organisation in Birmingham\nOpportunities for professional growth and development.\nSupportive and professional working environment
