Job Title: Maintenance Engineer
Location: Gedling
Salary: £43,000 - £45,000
Shift: 4 on 4 off DAYS
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join a modern, fully automated and fast paced manufacturing facility. This position is based at a site that has recently benefited from significant investment, making it one of the most advanced operations within its sector. The successful Maintenance Engineer will enjoy long term stability, technical challenge and genuine opportunities for progression.
This role would suit a capable Maintenance Engineer with strong mechanical maintenance skills looking to develop within a heavy industrial environment. The business offers clear progression routes into senior engineering or supervisory positions.
In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across automated production machinery and plant equipment. You will support breakdown response, fault finding, component replacement and mechanical repairs to maximise plant uptime, ensure operational efficiency and maintain high safety standards.
Sector: Industrial Factory Maintenance
Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Maintenance Engineer
Mechanical maintenance experience within an industrial or manufacturing environment
Experience with planned, reactive and breakdown maintenance
Strong mechanical fault finding and repair skills
Requirements for the Maintenance Engineer
Experience maintaining automated production machinery
Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical faults efficiently
Experience working within a manufacturing environment
Experience working as a Maintenance Engineer in the UK
Desirable Requirements
Apprentice trained or Level 3 Mechanical Engineering qualification
Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics
