Job Description Shift Engineer (Mechanical Bias) \n
Location: Leeds, LS9

Business Area: Healthcare

Salary: £33,900 + 15% shift allowance (£4,965) = £38,985
\n
Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off 6am-6pm
\n\n About the Role \n
Bluearrow are looking for a skilled Shift Engineer (Mechanical Bias) to join a dynamic maintenance team in Leeds, LS9. You will play a key role in ensuring the hospital is maintained to the highest standards, delivering a responsive and customer-focused service.
\n\n What You'll Do \n
\n Lead a small shift team of Maintenance Craftsmen and Assistants.
\n
Carry out reactive and planned maintenance on building, mechanical, and electrical services.
\n
Work on systems including:\n \n Heating and domestic water services
\n
General electrical services (lighting & power)
\n
Air handling units
\n
Low voltage electrical distribution
\n
Emergency standby generators
\n
Fire alarms & emergency lighting
\n
Electrical control systems & BMS
\n
\n
\n
Maintain accurate records and provide regular progress reports.
\n
Participate in a 24/7/365 rotating shift pattern .
\n
Undertake training to act as Authorised Person when required.
\n
Occasionally assist with minor installation and upgrade works.
\n
\n\n What We're Looking For \n
\n \n Qualified time-served engineer with at least 3 years post-apprenticeship experience.
\n
Electrical bias with multi-skilled flexibility.
\n
Healthcare experience desirable but not essential.
\n
Cross-trade experience advantageous.
\n
