Maintenance Engineer | Telford | Days | Heavy Industry

I’m supporting a well-established industrial manufacturer in Telford with the hire of a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer.

This is a great fit for someone who is electrically biased, enjoys practical fault-finding, and has worked in a heavy industrial / manufacturing environment rather than a clean or highly automated production setting.

Key experience needed:

• Multi-skilled maintenance in an industrial setting
• Strong electrical fault-finding
• Experience with motors, drives, electrical installations, and basic PLC-controlled equipment
• Exposure to overhead cranes, lifting equipment, or other heavy machinery
• PPM, breakdown maintenance, and daily use of a CMMS
• Comfortable working at height / using a MEWP

The job:

• Planned and reactive maintenance across site plant and machinery
• Supporting improvements to equipment reliability and efficiency
• Working closely with production and contractors as needed
• Monday to Friday days, plus some out-of-hours evening cover on a rota

• Are electrically biased, not just mechanically multi-skilled
• Have worked in heavy manufacturing / industrial plant
• Like being hands-on in a tougher site environment
• Live within a realistic commute of Telford
