Maintenance Engineer

gap technical are proud to be representing a manufacturing business in their search for an experienced Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) to support operations at their site near Andover

The Role

Reporting to the Site Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the manufacturing process by responding to breakdowns, carrying out planned maintenance, and driving continuous improvement across the site.

Key Responsibilities

Respond promptly and effectively to equipment breakdowns, ensuring minimal downtime Carry out planned and preventative maintenance activities Fault-find efficiently using machine history, documentation, and diagnostics Take ownership of a nominated production area Identify, correct, and modify recurring machine faults Work closely with production teams to maintain strong working relationships Train operational staff in minor maintenance tasks and assist with major repairs Ensure all machinery is maintained to a high engineering standard Actively contribute to reducing downtime and improving engineering processesAbout You

Time-served engineering apprenticeship (preferred) Electrical bias with strong hands-on experience Proven experience with: 3 Phase Electrical Systems Motors, Drives, Safety Relays & PLC'S FMCG machinery Background in FMCG manufacturing is advantageous but not essential Strong communication skills with the ability to plan and organise workload effectively Flexible approach to shift patterns (days, nights, weekends)What's on Offer
