Maintenance Engineer

We are supporting a leading food processor that is continuing to invest in its engineering function. As part of a planned replacement, the business is now seeking an experienced Shift Engineer to join their established team on a 5 on / 5 off rotating shift pattern (days and nights).

About the Role
As a Shift Engineer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the plant. You’ll help drive improvements in performance, reliability, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), while supporting a culture of proactive maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

Perform routine and preventative maintenance to support improved OEE
Minimise engineering downtime to enable the production team to achieve 100% plan compliance
Deliver all engineering work safely, efficiently and to a high standard
Support the wider engineering strategy focused on moving from reactive to preventative maintenance
Use continuous improvement techniques to enhance plant performance and efficiency
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment
Ensure all tools remain in good, serviceable condition
Complete job reports/tickets at the end of each shift
About You

Experience within the food sector is desirable but not essential
