Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Blackburn

£47,000 - £50,000 (dependent on experience)


Are you an Electrically biased Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer looking for a long-term opportunity with a global manufacturing business?


I am recruiting on behalf of a well-established, global manufacturer in Blackburn. They are looking to strengthen their engineering team with an experienced Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly invested site operating within a fast-paced FMCG and process driven environment. This is a well invested manufacturing site with a strong safety culture, clear progression structure and long-term stability.

The Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer must be happy to work shifts, which is a mixture of days and nights. They need someone who is experienced and capable, not someone who requires heavy supervision.


The Role of the Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

The Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer will play a key role in ensuring the production lines are run efficiently.


Responsibilities of the Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults efficiently

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance

• Work on PLC controlled systems and instrumentation

• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities

• Work safely within permit to work and safe systems procedures


Requirements of the Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

  • Apprentice Trained
  • Electrical or Mechanical Engineering qualifications (HNC/HND/NVQ)
  • Multi Skilled, ideally Electrical biased
  • Minimum 3 year’s experience within FMCG or process manufacturing
  • Confident with Electrical fault finding
  • Experienced with PLCs and control systems
  • Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Familiar with instrumentation
  • Comfortable working alone when required
  • Happy to work shifts
  • CompEx (desired)
