Job Title: Maintenance Engineer

Location: Cardiff

Hours: Monday to Friday (Rotating Shifts: 6am–2pm / 2pm–10pm)

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

We are working with a well-established and recently built manufacturing company based in Cardiff that continues to go from strength to strength. With significant investment in state-of-the-art equipment and a strong pipeline of customer demand, the business is experiencing impressive growth and is now looking to strengthen its Engineering Department with the addition of a Maintenance Engineer.

As a Maintenance Engineer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the site’s production lines and equipment. You'll be part of a proactive and forward-thinking team, responsible for both planned and reactive maintenance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across all machinery and plant.

* Respond to breakdowns and production stoppages efficiently to minimise downtime

* Support continuous improvement and root cause analysis activities

* Maintain a safe working environment and ensure adherence to health & safety regulations

* Collaborate with other departments to ensure production targets are met

* Maintain accurate records of maintenance work using the CMMS system

The Ideal Candidate:

* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical)

* Experience working within a manufacturing or FMCG environment

* Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills

* Flexible and willing to work rotating shifts (6-2 / 2-10)

* A team player with a proactive approach to maintenance and improvement
