Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer required in Cheltenham, Salary: £46,000 per annum, Hours: Rotating Monday to Friday shifts with occasional weekends, full-time permanent contract, immediate start available following a successful interview process.Are you a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer with strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills? We are looking for an experienced engineer to join a well-established manufacturing site in Cheltenham. This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced production environment, supporting site operations through breakdown response, planned maintenance, and continuous improvement.The RoleAs a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of production and site equipment to ensure minimal downtime and consistent output. You will work closely with production teams, applying fault-finding skills across electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems. The ability to read and understand electrical and pneumatic drawings is a core requirement of this role.Key Responsibilities:

• Provide reactive breakdown support across the site
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
• Diagnose and repair faults on electrical and mechanical systems
• Work on motors, gearboxes, conveyors, chain drives, pumps, and bearings
• Read and interpret electrical and pneumatic schematics
• Support production teams to maintain output and efficiency
• Maintain high standards of health & safety and housekeeping
• Support continuous improvement and engineering projects as required

Candidate Requirements:

• Multi-skilled maintenance engineer (approx. 60/40 mechanical or electrical bias either way)
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a fast-paced engineering or production environment
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding capability
• Experience working with single-phase and three-phase electrical systems
• Working knowledge of PLC-controlled machinery
• Basic knowledge of inverters and control systems
• Pneumatics experience
• Ability to read and understand electrical and pneumatic drawings
• Relevant engineering and/or electrical qualifications
• Good understanding of health & safety

Desirable Experience:

• Steam boilers
• Steam and condensate systems
• Heat exchangers
• Soft water plants
