Your new company We have a new opportunity for an experienced maintenance engineer working for a manufacturing business in Diss, You will be working nights Monday to Friday (22.00 - 06.00). Your new role As a Maintenance Engineer will provide hands-on engineering support to ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of all plant machinery within a high‑volume manufacturing environment. Working as part of the night shift engineering team, you will diagnose faults, carry out planned and reactive maintenance, and support continuous improvement across mechanical, electrical, and process systems.This role is critical to maintaining production uptime and ensuring compliance with feed safety, hygiene, and quality standards.
Respond to breakdowns quickly and effectively to minimise production downtime. Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on a wide range of mechanical and electrical equipment. Diagnose and repair faults on conveyors, mixers, grinders, motors, gearboxes, pneumatic systems, and automated plant equipment. Perform electrical maintenance tasks, including fault-finding on control panels, sensors, motors, and basic PLC diagnostics (no programming required unless relevant).
