Maintenance Manager Bedford | Permanent | £65,000 per annum + Benefits Sector: Food Manufacturing | Hours: Monday-Friday, Day Shift The Opportunity We are working with a leading food manufacturing business in Bedford, currently seeking an experienced and hands-on Maintenance Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of the engineering function across two manufacturing sites, reporting directly to the Plant Manager. This is a floor-based, proactive leadership role with responsibility for reactive and preventative maintenance, team development, and compliance with food safety and statutory engineering standards. Key Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers across shifts, ensuring high standards of attendance, performance, and ongoing development. Oversee and deliver effective reactive and preventative maintenance for both sites. Maintain strict adherence to the PM plan and ensure all documentation is up to date. Ensure compliance with food safety, H&S legislation, and BRC codes of practice. Manage all external contractors on site in line with company H&S policies. Administer IFS (Industrial & Financial Systems) reports and work orders to agreed standards.
