Temporary until 21st September 2025Cardiff Metropolitan University is seeking two enthusiastic and reliable
Summer Maintenance Assistants
To support the upkeep of our student residences. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with basic maintenance skills and a proactive attitude.Key Responsibilities:
Carry out minor repairs and general maintenance (e.g. painting, resealing showers, replacing lights)
Assist with fire alarm and emergency light testing
Support janitorial and housekeeping tasks, including linen handling and inventory checks
Maintain accurate records and ensure health & safety complianceWhat We're Looking For:
Minimum of 3 GCSEs (including Maths and English)
Good organisational skills and ability to work independently or in a team
Flexible approach and willingness to work occasional weekends
Experience working with the public is essential.Additional Info:
Overtime paid for extra hours worked
Welsh skills at beginner level are desirable.
