Maintenance Technician Electrician

Widnes

£35,456 (Increasing to £36,938 01 April 2026)

Permanent, Full Time (37 hours per week)

Here at Halton Housing, we are looking for 3 experienced Maintenance Technician - Electricians to work across our vibrant organisation.

What Youll Do:

Undertake electrical tasks which may include work on Electrical inspection and testing program, responsive repairs, void properties, aids and adaptations and planned improvement works to all our housing stock

Translate repair requests into repair tasks

Inspect, survey, quantify, plan, risk assess, and layout works prior to commencing any work and install equipment based on job specifications

Installation of wiring and equipment in line with applicable standards, currently BS7671

Test, inspect, commission electrical installations and analysis of results, to comply with BS761 wiring regulations and be accountable for the accurate completion of condition reports, installation certificates, and minor work certificates

Take responsibility for accurately and timely recording/checking of all paperwork/electronic devices, including timesheets and job tickets

What Youll Need:

Demonstrable experience of Electrical work with NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds, 2391 testing certificate, 18th Edition BS7671 course

Good customer service and communication skills

Ability to follow defined processes and procedures in an accurate and consistent manner.

Understanding and awareness of Health and Safety at work

Solid working knowledge of building technology relative with proven understanding of other trades basic functions.
