Futures are currently recruiting for a skilled Maintenance Technician to join a fast-paced and well-established engineering team. This role is ideal for a multi-skilled engineer with both electrical and mechanical expertise, who thrives in a reactive and preventative maintenance environment. The successful Maintenance Technician will play a key role in ensuring minimal downtime by responding quickly to breakdowns and maintaining equipment to the highest standards.
Roles & Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical breakdowns across site equipment Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to improve reliability and performance Fault finding on electrical systems (motors, sensors, PLCs, control panels) Mechanical maintenance including bearings, conveyors, gearboxes, and hydraulics/pneumatics Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime and increase efficiency Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety regulations Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams Skills and Qualifications
Proven experience in a multi-skilled maintenance role (electrical & mechanical) Strong fault-finding ability on both electrical and mechanical systems Electrically qualified (e.g. NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds or equivalent) Experience working in a manufacturing / industrial environment preferred Basic understanding of PLCs (fault finding, not necessarily programming) Ability to work under pressure in a reactive breakdown environment Flexible approach to shifts / call-outs if required Click apply now for more information
