Maintenance Technician (Electrical Bias)

Location: Preston

Salary: £43,000

Shift Pattern: Monday – Friday (Double Days)


A great opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Technician (Electrical Bias) to join a well-established manufacturing company based in Preston. The site is currently undergoing a significant period of investment and transformation, with major improvements being made to enhance production efficiency, modernise equipment, and support long-term growth.

This is an exciting time to join the business, offering the chance to work within a forward-thinking engineering team while playing a key role in maintaining and improving a developing manufacturing facility.


The Role:

  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across manufacturing and production equipment
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical faults quickly to minimise downtime
  • Support mechanical maintenance activities when required
  • Perform fault finding on control systems, motors, drives, sensors, and other electrical components
  • Assist with equipment upgrades and site improvement projects
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with site health & safety procedures
  • Work closely with production teams to maintain high levels of equipment reliability and efficiency


Requirements:

  • Electrical bias with experience in manufacturing or industrial environments
  • Strong fault finding and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience working with motors, drives, sensors, and control systems
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
  • Relevant electrical engineering qualification (apprenticeship or equivalent preferred)
