The Company are outstripping performance targets and with a new CEO who’s launched and a major business-wide strategic digitalisation programme, it’s an exciting time to join.You’ll be part of a high-calibre team responsible for the financial management of their UK business providing critical finanical insight to inform key business decisions, including regular exposure to senior management and involvement in Finance projects.Key accountabilities:Key member of the UK Finance team covering management accounting and financial accountingOwnership of the month-end process and responsibility for the integrity and accuracy of the balance sheet and supporting reconciliations.Support year-end accounting, financial statements and the external audit processChallenge the status-quo of processes and take a lead role in the continuous improvement of processes and internal controlsBuild strong relationships across the business in order to identify and understand key drivers of financial resultsInvolvement in the implementation of a new general ledger systemSupport with other ad-hoc projects related to UK FinanceRequired experience:The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA or ACCA) with a good academic record and previous experience in a similar Management Accountant role in any industry (blue-chip or Financial Services advantage).Previous management accounting/financial accounting experienceExperience of running the month end and year end processGood grasp of finanical statements under IFRS and UK GAAPStrong understanding of robust processes and effective controlsComfortable with large volumes and multiple sources of dataClear written and oral communication skillsEngaging and capable of delivering clear objectivesConfident, a self-starter, with the ability to operate in a dynamic environmentAble to demonstrate good attention to detail and good judgment showing logical decision makingIf this isn’t for you but you know someone who’d be interested, then why not confidentially recommend them by clicking here http://peartalent.co.uk/spread-the-word/.
