A privately owned organisation is seeking a Management Accountant to support accurate financial reporting, strengthen financial controls, and provide insight to support operational decision-making. The role is hands-on and suited to someone with strong month-end experience and a solid understanding of management accounting within a multi-activity environment.

Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate financial records across multiple business activities
Process purchase and sales transactions, payments, and bank reconciliations
Manage accounts payable and receivable processes
Prepare indirect tax returns and support statutory submissions
Maintain and reconcile the nominal ledger
Support budgeting and forecasting activities
Assist with year-end processes and external audit requirements
Prepare monthly management accounts and supporting analysis
Produce regular management reporting
Ensure revenue and costs are accurately recorded each period
Post journals and reconcile balance sheet accounts
Prepare detailed P&L and balance sheet supporting schedules
Support process improvements within the finance function
Provide ad-hoc financial analysis as required
Work with stakeholders across the business to support cost control
Maintain debtor and supplier accounts
Perform sales ledger month-end routines, including statements and reconciliations
Cash allocation and payment posting
Undertake additional finance and administrative tasks as requiredSkills & Experience

Proven experience in management accounting and month-end reporting
Strong nominal ledger and reconciliation experience
Confident user of Excel for financial analysis
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to manage workload independently and meet deadlines
Clear communicator, comfortable working with non-finance stakeholdersPersonal Attributes

AAT qualified or studying towards CIMA / ACCA
