Job Title: Management Accountant
Location: Kettering, Northamptonshire
Salary: £35,000 + Study Support
Working Pattern: 4 days office / 1 day WFH
Role Overview
We are seeking a part-qualified Management Accountant to join a growing construction business during an exciting period of expansion and systems transformation.
This role will take ownership of key month-end processes while supporting the wider finance function with accurate reporting, commercial insight, and process improvement. The successful candidate will play a key role in strengthening financial controls, improving processes, and building strong relationships across operational teams.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop into a senior leadership role, with a clear progression path towards Head of Finance.
Key Responsibilities
Preparation of monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness Full ownership of month-end processes including accruals, prepayments, and journals Balance sheet reconciliations and investigation of variances Support budgeting and forecasting processes Provide financial analysis and insight to commercial and operational teams Work closely with project teams to ensure accurate financial reporting (construction-specific accounting) Support year-end audit and preparation of audit schedules Assist with VAT returns and cash flow reporting Contribute to the implementation of a new ERP system ...
