Management Accountant – Business Partnering Focus

Axon Moore has partnered with a profitable group based in Warrington to recruit a Management Accountant reporting to the Financial Controller.

The finance team oversees operational finance and reporting for the Groups division, offering a varied environment with opportunities to develop broader financial and commercial skills.

This role forms a key part of the Management Accounts team, responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial reporting to the Management team and consolidated reporting to Group Finance.

The team also supports the development of robust financial controls and efficient financial processes as the division continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities

Produce monthly divisional and site-level management accounts, including variance analysis and forecasting, ensuring strong financial controls.
Support strategic decision-making by providing financial insight and analysis.
Business partner with senior leaders across sites and departments, focusing on KPIs and operational performance improvements.
Coordinate the annual budgeting process and forecasting cycles, including sensitivity analysis.
Prepare information for statutory reporting and support internal and external audit processes.
Deliver routine and ad-hoc financial reporting to support business requirements.
Support finance projects and continuous process improvements.
Skills & Experience

Proven experience in management accounting.
Advanced Excel skills (e.g., modelling, PivotTables, VLOOKUPs) and experience with accounting systems; Dynamics experience advantageous.
Qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA) or QBE with relevant experience.
Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
