Our teams work closely with executive leadership across industries to identify improvement opportunities, implement best practices and ensure sustainable growth. Key Responsibilities You will advise clients across a variety of sectors, supporting key decision makers in developing and implementing strategic transformations. On the ground with clients, you will be a credible and visible member of joint EY‑client teams, leading on a workstream or contributing to a large project team with the support of peers and senior members. You will play a supporting role in new business development by qualifying targets, participating in pitches and preparing go‑to‑market collateral, and maintaining internal and external relationships to build the team’s profile. As part of a small, growing team you will coach and counsel junior members and support practice growth efforts. Skills and Attributes for Success
Project Management – drive project progress, develop plans, analyse cost/benefit, and manage project commercials and risk. Financial Analysis – review and analyse financial information and scenario modelling to support decision‑making and execution. Business and Commercially Driven – bring strong business acumen to add value in a fast‑paced environment. Value Creation – identify key strategic priorities and pragmatically develop solutions or actions. Report Writing – produce clear, concise, client‑ready reports communicating complex findings to senior stakeholders. Business Development – assist in pitches, presentations and practice development initiatives. Learning – develop technical and personal skills through structured learning, coaching and experience. Stakeholder Management and Communication – effectively engage and manage stakeholders, tailoring communication to influence and align outcomes. Role Model – support the development and coaching of junior team members.
To Qualify for the Role You Must Have
Professional services / strategy consulting experience, either full‑time in consulting or a combination with industry roles. Track record delivering cross‑sector third‑party spend initiatives, including opportunity assessments and cost‑reduction delivery programmes. Strong analytical skills, linking operational analysis to financial statements and client strategy implications.
Ideally, You’ll Also Have
Experience across multiple sectors, preferably within Consumer & Retail, Industrials, Energy, Life Sciences, or TMT. Expertise in indirect and direct spend categories, with understanding of cost drivers and levers. Experience building strong relationships with senior clients, influencing and advising decision‑makers. Experience supporting sales and business development for professional services in a large‑scale consulting environment. Track record delivering cost transformation with quantified impact and managing project workstreams and vendors. Strong written and verbal communication skills, producing high‑calibre reports, papers and presentations.
