Our client, a market-leading roofing, cladding, and building envelope business, is seeking a Managing Director to drive strategy, operational excellence, and commercial performance.


This is a board-level role with full P&L responsibility, offering the opportunity to shape the future of a dynamic, ambitious and technically sophisticated business. The right candidate will bring hands-on experience around envelope contracting, paired with strong commercial acumen, people leadership skills, and the ability to deliver growth while protecting margin and quality.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute a strategic plan aligned to market opportunities, client needs, and growth ambitions.
  • Lead financial performance: drive revenue, margin, and cost-efficiency improvements.
  • Oversee technical design, project delivery, and quality assurance, ensuring solutions meet client and regulatory standards.
  • Build and sustain trusted relationships with clients, partners, suppliers, and industry bodies.
  • Lead, develop, and inspire the senior leadership team, embedding a culture of accountability, innovation, and operational excellence.
  • Ensure full governance, compliance, and HSE standards are maintained across all operations.


Your Profile:

  • Proven leadership experience at MD or senior leadership level within construction or specialist contracting.
  • Strong commercial track record with P&L accountability and successful business growth.
  • Technical understanding / experience of building envelope systems.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management, strategic thinking, and operational execution skills.
  • Collaborative, resilient, and comfortable navigating complex projects with multiple priorities.
