This is a rare one.
Dignity and Farewill have come together to do something genuinely ambitious: build the UK's most comprehensive end-of-life legal services platform, combining Farewill's award-winning digital services with Dignity's nationwide network, trusted brand, and millions of existing customer relationships.
The result is a business with extraordinary reach, a powerful mission and serious commercial momentum. We're looking for a Managing Director to lead it - and take it to the next level.
This is not a role for someone who wants to maintain the status quo. It's a role for someone who sees a market ripe for transformation, has the commercial instinct to capitalise on it and the personal ambition to build something they'll be proud of for years to come.
The Opportunity
As MD of Legal Services, you will own the strategy, P&L and performance of our combined legal services business - a platform spanning probate, wills, lasting power of attorney and funeral planning, with strong existing charity partnerships and a rapidly growing digital proposition.
The legal services market in the UK is large, underserved and ripe for disruption. We've already built the foundations. Now we need the right leader to accelerate growth, expand partnerships, launch new products and establish ourselves as the clear category winner.
We're targeting double-digit revenue and profit growth. We're enabling billions of pounds in charitable legacy giving. We're transforming how families plan for the future. And we're doing it at scale, backed by a well-resourced, mission-driven Group that wants to see this business win.
What You'll DoWhat We're Looking For
We'll be direct: this is a demanding role, and we're looking for someone who genuinely relishes that. Why join us About Us
We are Dignity, one of the UK's oldest and most trusted funeral providers, with over 200 years of history, 570 branches, and 46 crematoria. From launching the UK's first funeral plan to helping shape modern regulation, we have led the way in supporting families with care, compassion, and professionalism.
Now we are building the UK's leading end of life company. As part of the Dignity Group, we also operate Farewill, the country's largest will writer and one of the UK's top probate providers, giving families support not just at the funeral, but before and after as well.
Today we are over 4,000 people across the UK, all driven by the same goal: to care for families with compassion and make the UK a world leader in end-of-life care. Here to help, whenever you need.
