Managing Estimator\n\n360 Recruitment has been retained by a leading multi-disciplined contractor to identify and appoint a Managing Estimator.\n\nThe successful candidate will be appointed as Managing Estimator for their Civils, Earthworks and Remediation division.\n\nJob role: Managing Estimator\n\nLocation: Flexible (offices nationwide)\n\nSalary: £85,000 - £90,000/annum + package (car, healthcare, pension, discretionary bonus, etc)\n\nResponsibilities: \n\nLead the preparation of estimates and tenders for earthworks, civil engineering, and remediation schemes\nBuild and review cost estimates from first principles, including labour, plant, materials, and temporary works\nManage and coordinate estimating resources and inputs where applicable\nReview drawings, specifications, and ground investigation information to identify risks and opportunities\nEngage with clients, consultants, and stakeholders during pre-tender and tender stages\nManage supply chain enquiries and subcontractor pricing\nPrepare tender submissions, clarifications, and value engineering proposals\nSupport bid strategy, methodology development, and programme input\nMaintain and develop cost data, benchmarks, and estimating tools\nContribute to continuous improvement of estimating and preconstruction processes\nRequirements: \n\nExperience in a senior or lead estimating role, with the ability to manage tenders and coordinate others\nStrong ability to produce and review estimates from first principles\nCommercially astute with a clear understanding of project risk and opportunity\nConfident in a client-facing environment and able to build relationships\nStrong analytical, organisational, and communication skills\nProficient in estimating software and Excel\nTo apply, submit your CV and a member of our team will contact you!\n\nINDLON
