3D Personnel is working with a well-established UK construction group which is seeking a dynamic and experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor to join its Southern Region. This full-time, site-based leadership role involves supporting a portfolio of major developments across the South, from preconstruction through delivery. Role Highlights
* Lead commercial operations across multiple large-scale projects, from £40m–£100m in value.
* Engage early to resolve challenges and reduce risk exposure.
* Ensure accurate reporting, contract compliance, and legal resolution where necessary.
* Champion best practices and continuous performance improvement across teams.
* Advise senior leadership and site teams on commercial matters and regulatory changes.
* Audit and approve reports and payments prior to final sign-off.
* Oversee tender bids, contract documentation, and team delivery quality.
* Mentor quantity surveyors and contribute to talent development.
Success Measures
* Deliver timely, accurate reporting and maintain high levels of commercial control.
* Enhance quality, client satisfaction, and operational performance.
* Promote risk awareness and problem solving at all levels of delivery.
* Strengthen client and supply chain relationships through professionalism and consistency.
* Provide clear guidance on financial impacts and contractual obligations.
What You’ll Bring
* Extensive experience as a Quantity Surveyor in large-scale UK construction projects.
* Strong working knowledge of build-to-rent, PBSA, or similarly complex developments.
* Exceptional understanding of contractual frameworks and reporting requirements.
* Skilled in leading meetings and aligning diverse teams toward shared outcomes.
* Excellent organisational and communication skills with high attention to detail.
* Demonstrated ability to mentor, lead and develop junior team members.
* Commitment to continuous learning and staying ahead of industry changes.
* Capable of balancing priorities across projects and locations.
Working Pattern
* Full-time, permanent role.
* Site-based in the Southern Region, covering multiple locations.
